Buddy

This is an all-in-one solution to all your needs to simplify your daily life. Buddy app is your true buddy to do things the smart way. Be it setting up reminders, list down todos or looking for upcoming events, Buddy app will have you covered.

The way it connects to the user is the most unique thing about this app. User needs to type his task below the app and hit return. Buddy app is completely offline. It stores all the data on your local hard drive.

REMINDER
Setup reminders just by typing “~30 minutes”. It automatically translates into “remind me in 30 minutes”. You can also mention the time in your reminder which may go like, “~2:30pm”. That’s it! This is how it becomes super easy to set up reminders with Buddy. It would have required a lot of steps and clicks if a user was asked to do it on a generic reminder app. But with Buddy app, it is just a matter of a few key strokes.

For example:
“Remind me at 2:30pm for lunch”
“Remind me in 10 minutes”
“~4:30pm”


ADD TODOS & TASKS:
To add todos, begin with ‘!’ and type. You can list down your tasks and todos one by one with check boxes beside them.

For example:
“!Get groceries.”
“!Wash curtains”
“!Set up the studio”


SAVE ATTACHMENTS:
Have important files and documents within your reach by dropping them into the app. Buddy will categorize and move them into a place dedicated to Attachments. You can directly go to the location of that file just by clicking on it.

For example:
Drag and drop any documents or images on Buddy, it will save a link to that file in the App.


ADD PEOPLE:
Import people from Contacts app and add them in todos and reminders. To add a person, type “@“ in and choose a person from the list.

For example: “Grab coffee with @Andrew at ~4:00pm”


HASH TAG:
Hash tags are very helpful at times. You can add hash tags with tasks and reminders.

For example: “Ask @John to bring #Books at ~6:00pm”

TAKE VOICE NOTES:
Keeping voice notes comes very handy when you don’t feel like typing. You can click on the Record button at the extreme bottom right corner of the app and take voice notes. Add a title to the recording and save it in the app. You can listen to these voice notes any time from the app.


OTHER MANYFOLD USAGE OF Buddy:
Along side being a task manager and reminder app, Buddy can help you a lot in other ways. You can type different commands to pull up contact info and upcoming events from your Calendar and Contacts App.
